The AIAA Baltimore Section has an active Pre-College (K-12) program. We kickoff the year with our Annual Aerospace Picnic in September. We support the Maryland Engineering Challenges by running the Elementary School Paper Airplane Challenge and the High School Electric Cargo Challenge. We support K-12 educators via our Educator Associate Grant Program which can provide up to $200 per teacher and $1000 per school for Math, Science, Technology, or Engineering projects. We also have a strong working partnership with the Howard County Civil Air Patrol and its Cadet Program and the Maryland Math, Science, Engineering Achievement (MESA) program, Boy Scout Troop 456, and Cub Scout Pack 389. We do teacher workshops and can provide speakers for schools. We look forward to working with your K-12 group!
